Call of Juarez - Bound in Blood is a first-person shooter action game. It is a prequel to 2006's Call of Juarez, but it still manages to add quite a lot in terms of functionality and graphic design. The characters look beautifully crafted this time around and the scenarios and objects of the game (houses, guns, chairs, horses) are all made in great details. Shooting in Call of Juarez - Bound in Blood still is very similar to the first game, but some additions have been made here as well. For example, now there is a cover system that allows you to shoot while keeping clear from enemy fire. Zooming in and out of targets seems a little weird, but it is effective. When you enter buildings or want to surprise several enemies at once, the action goes to slow-motion and you get to shoot enemies before they are even aware you are shooting, which gives the game a more cinematic feel. There are several multiplayer game-modes and the single player campaign should entertain for almost 10 hours.
You also can choose one of the characters to play with. Each character has its strengths and weaknesses and it is fun to experience different missions playing with one or with the other person. All in all, this is a wonderful action game with the Midwest atmosphere, but it is not a realistic first-person shooting simulator.
